Trailblazers' Tips

"Watch out for Kingfishers between Conham and Hanham - they are regularly seen and I saw one flying along the water the other day"
Chris, Bristol - May 2005

"If you're looking for cheap eats, I would recommend a little kiosk in Bristol Docks called Brunel's Buttery. It is somewhere between the SS Great Britain and the Industrial Museum. The guacamole & salad sandwich and the home made pies are great. My daughter had the chips."
Ruth, Bristol - November 2004

"If you stand near the information panel at Pulteney Bridge and look across the weir you can see a door-sized gap in the colonade beneath the hotel. Set back a little way you can just make out an arch. This is the original east gate into the medieval city."
Isobel, Bath - August 2004

"Beese's tea garden at Conham is great. The photo shows you what it looked like in the late 19th century. You get there by ferry but I think it's only open in summer. There's quite a lot to do around Conham for families really. You can get there by boat from Bristol too."
Delphine, South Wales - October 2004
